Pickled. As shared by USA Today:

Teams will be battling it out on the Southern California courts for the Comic Relief charity where a wide range of celebs, who paired up, in keeping with pickleball’s overwhelmingly doubles-focused ethos.

The teams consist of singer and actress Kelly Rowland and “The White Lotus” Emmy winner Murray Bartlett; ex-boxer Sugar Ray Leonard and actress Emma Watson; country star Dierks Bentley and “The Amazing Race” host Phil Keoghan; actors Luis Guzman and Daniel Dae Kim; actors Jaime Camil (“Jane the Virgin”) and Aisha Tyler; actors June Diane Raphael and Paul Scheer; “American Idol” alum Jimmie Allen and actor Max Greenfield; and comedian Tig Notaro and an unannounced “mystery player.”

This morning I did a live zoom with CBS morning news out of Chicago, IL, where they were getting their pickleball groove on and highlighting the upcoming show tonight. Here is one segment where I got to talk history – After all, I am the official USA pickleball historian, and in the Pickleball Hall of Fame, and just love pickleball and all that play!

Last image, CBS morning news talking pickleball history with me and of course let’s include the book my mom and I wrote. Reminder this is a GREAT holiday gift for all your PICKLED PALS! Check it out on Amazon – History of Pickleball – More than 50 Years of Fun!

Keep having FUN with YOUR pickleball play and let me know what you thought of tonight’s tv show – Pickled!

  1. Fun program. Just wish someone had shown all players where to stand when receiving. Also that someone had told my hero, Sugar Ray to move to the net….stuck in middle.
