Want to play pickleball in Puerto Vallarta Mexico? If so, you need to act fast because registration ends very soon. Lyall Harrison, an ambassador for the USAPA, sent me the following fun pickleball travel information:
“Come join us for the FIRST pickleball tournament in Puerto Vallarta. Many pickleball addicts have gone to Puerto Vallarta to play on their own before, but never an official tournament. We are really excited to not only indulge in the tropical atmosphere and have a great tournament, but leave the pickleball bug behind with our Adopt-a-School program.”
All the information you need is on their website – www.PickleballPuertoVallarta.com.
Check it out! I am all for traveling the globe to get your pickleball on!

Hi Kim,
They don’t start playing pickleball in PV until October. Go to Facebook and find their info under Pickleball Puerto Vallarta. They can tell you more as they are there for 6 months each year. Pickleball is played in other Mexican cities as well.
We are coming to PV and want to play. Can you tell us where we can play Pickleball?
They play pickleball at Melia Resort in the Marina Vallarta district. They play from 9:30 a.m. to 12 noon. They only allow 56 players MAXIMUM. Total of 8 courts (portable nets). 4 courts are used for recreational play and 4 courts for advanced or competitive play. Costs $100 pesos for first time and $50 pesos for all other times. Frank & Yvonne run it all, super nice people. I would highly recommend you arrive BEFORE 9:15 a.m. every day but Monday is the busiest so shortly after 9 that day would be advised. I was just there for 7 weeks and loved it, wonderful people, amazing weather, perfection.
Hi there! We’ll be in PV March 25-April 1st. We’d like to play on a Wednesday of that week! Do we have a chance?
The group that play at Canto Del Sol are NOT FRIENDLY in Puerto Vallarta. You need to go the Marina Vallarta district and the the Vamar Resort, where they have 7 outdoor courts and it is run by Frank & Yvonne, who are awesome and welcome newcomers. They try to keep a maximum of 40 players per session. You can find them on Facebook by clicking on this link:

Hello, we are coming to PV in mid-Feb 2018, 4.0 players from Central OR
Where do you suggest to play, staying at Marina
Will also be there in mid February…please let me know where u r playing
Hi Jennifer, I’m in PV right now for the month. I emailed a man named John, who told me where and when to go and play. He even met my husband and I there. The woman in charge was so rude and belligerent to us and to John…she would not let us play, even though it is called drop in play…I was aghast at her unsavoury behaviour. John emailed me wanting me to play today. I told him no thank you, but maybe Friday. I just thought you should know we were not welcomed at all.
