As many of you know, this past September my parents (Bob & Bev Youngren) and I visited Madrid, Spain for 9 days for a fun-packed pickleball tour and the International Pickleball Tournament. It was an amazing experience, and gave us the chance to explore local culture, architecture, food, and of course, make new friends!
2016 is an even more exciting year for VIVA Pickleball Tours as they expand to Barcelona, and so I’m here to tell you- join the fun! From beginner to advanced, pickleball players of all skill levels are welcome. Play pickleball in Barcelona, Spain!
Mike Hess and I will be the “teaching pros” on the tour from May 31- June 8, 2016 in beautiful Barcelona. It is an awesome opportunity to experience everything Barcelona has to offer, play pickleball with old and new friends, and pick up the winning tip or two. Get pointers on how to improve your playing technique, shot selection, strategy, mental game and much more!
While Pickleball will be a highlight of the trip, there are so many other cool opportunities to explore the Catalonian region of Spain and see the famous sights.
From exploring Las Ramblas and “Old Barcelona”, the picturesque Costa Brava, to Gaudi’s masterpieces- especially La Sagrada Familia- you’ll get a full does of Spanish architecture and history. Of course, no trip to Spain is complete without wine tasting, gourmet foodie experiences and a Flamenco dinner show!
Watch some of the beautiful sights of Barcelona!
Make sure to sign up for the Barcelona tour from May 31 to June 8, 2016 before it sells out! It did sell out last year, for the maximum number of fun-seeking, pickleball-loving, culture explorers is 38.
Don’t miss the fun- we want to play pickleball with YOUÂ in Barcelona!

Hello Bill, I just emailed you… 🙂
Greetings, just wanted to let you know that we had a great time at Marina de Bolnuevo in August of this year. We flew into San Javier and hired a car from the airport for the short drive to Bolnuevo. The beaches are perfect, most of them awarded the Blue Flag. The cafes were great, with paella on the beach a highlight and managed a trip to the nudist beach there. Very liberating. We also visited the Big Guns, The Roman Mines and the Sand sculptures. Will be returning there again next year. Thanks for reading Nikki.
Would like to know what park the courts are in as I will be passing thru and might challenge
The locals.
Hello Bob, best to email Mike Hess directly mh***@vi*****************.com and he can give you address and all the details for pickleball in Barcelona.. Several locals to play with.
What a trip of a lifetime! To learn from one of the best in the world and explore Barcelona. I will tell my pickleball group about it. Thanks Jen
