Wow… I just finished up playing the SoCal Summer Classic tournament at my hometown courts where many of the “best of the best” came to Southern California to compete in 5 events over four days. What a showing it was—so many awesome points and battles! The days were long and the action was hot.
The action continued off the courts with fun and laughter at the beaches, parks, exploring, restaurants, bars and at homes playing ping-pong and board games. I’m guessing most rolled on 6 hours of sleep because if you were anxious and wanted to see the draw you waited until it posted at midnight for the coming day. Yes crazy days, but I am sure that none of us that love this game so much would change a thing. Okay, maybe some of the results…

This tournament is definitely on the list of yearly tournaments to go to if you are a 5.0 player looking for intense competition, and the beauty of it is they include Open Singles!
